Privacy Policy

This page explains exactly what data 3al3am ("the Site") collects, why, and who it is shared with. The Site is a personal project run by one person. There are no marketing complications: we don't sell data and we don't share it with ad brokers outside of Google.

1. What we collect

a) If you browse without signing in

• Anonymous fingerprint: we generate a random UUID and store it in your browser's localStorage. It links your submissions and votes to the same browser without containing any personal information.
• Analytics: Vercel Analytics and Google Analytics collect aggregated stats — page visited, device type, country, load time.
• Server logs: Vercel keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, timestamp, URL) for operational and security reasons.

b) If you sign in with Google

We use Auth.js with the Google provider. When you sign in, we store in our database:

• Your name, email, and profile image (from Google).
• Your Google account identifier and session tokens.
• Your role on the site (regular user / admin).

c) If you add a price or a product

• Price, currency, country, city, shop name, shop URL (optional).
• Date observed and optional notes.
• Your anonymous fingerprint, or your account if you're signed in.

This data is shown publicly on the product page. Please don't include any personal information in the notes.

2. How we use it

• To display and compare prices for the public.
• To prevent duplicate voting and result manipulation.
• To measure site performance and improve usability.
• To reply when you contact us.

3. Cookies

• Session cookie (NextAuth): required to keep you signed in.
• Admin cookie: used only by the site operator to access the admin dashboard.
• Google AdSense / Analytics: may set their own cookies to measure ad performance and traffic. You can opt out of personalized Google ads at Google Ad Settings.

4. Third parties

The site relies on these services only:

• Vercel — hosting, analytics, and image storage.
• Neon — PostgreSQL database hosting.
• Google — OAuth sign-in, AdSense, and Analytics.

We do not share your data with any other party for marketing or commercial purposes.

5. Your rights

You can at any time:

• Request a copy of the data tied to your account.
• Request account deletion and removal of your identity from contributions.
• Request correction or deletion of a price you submitted.
• Clear the anonymous fingerprint from your browser settings (clear the site's localStorage).

6. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13. If we learn an account belongs to a child under that age, we delete it immediately.

7. Updates to this policy

We update this page whenever data collection changes. The date at the top reflects the latest version.
